Commercial: The Art Center

Description: The Art Center is an after school, volunteer-run organization offering a variety of applied art and performance classes to children who are the victims of educational budget cuts in their schools. The Center wanted to provide a place where students could come to read or view art even when not in classes, as well as provide a creative outlet for those in need. It fosters an atmosphere of encouragement and motivation for learning new skills and having fun in the process. The rooms were carefully planned to be as functional as possible for the specific tasks being performed within, while keeping common areas open to each other and to the exterior for maximum exposure to the public.
